NEW YORK - September 8 2022new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe the growth in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to see this positive change and expect it to continue for many months and years."
